The article, titled “Wadsworth Church Continues Bible Prophecy Ministry,” provides a broad overview of the Work of the Church, and discusses the plans for the new Headquarters campus, which will begin construction in April. (Papers outside Ohio modified the article title to “Ohio Church Continues Bible Prophecy Ministry.”)
The initial attention of the paper was toward the Headquarters complex, but this has led to a rapid expansion in public awareness of many aspects of God’s Church, including the good news it announces. Here are several excerpts:
“David C. Pack is determined to do whatever he can to share the Gospel message of the return of Jesus Christ and the coming of the Kingdom of God.”
“‘We offer more literature than any organization on earth and we give it away,’ said Pack, president and pastor general of the Restored Church of God. ‘Our goal is to teach a way of life that is based on giving.’”
“‘You must study diligently,’ Pack urges his viewers. ‘When Christ returns, it will usher in peace for all nations. The Earth will never blow up. It will never be destroyed…Christ and the saints will rule all nations…all government corruption will be gone…all religious deception and confusion will be gone.’”
In response to the article, Wadsworth Mayor Robin Laubaugh wrote Mr. Pack, a well-respected member of the community for over 20 years, “Congratulations on the Beacon Journal Article. I thought the article was quite good and you certainly received prime placement! The Restored Church of God has called Wadsworth their home for many years now, and we look forward to the development of the campus for their headquarters. It will certainly be a welcome addition to our community. It has been a pleasure to work with The Restored Church of God with their plans and we are appreciative they chose Wadsworth for their exciting expansion.”
