NEW ARTICLE—“The True Meaning of ‘Grow in Grace and Knowledge’”:
Mr. Armstrong understood what “grow in grace and knowledge” (II Pet. 3:18) meant—and did not mean. But most today have no idea when the verse does or does not apply. Identical to the apostates, cunning splinter leaders deceitfully cite Mr. Armstrong’s “example” as their authority to change doctrine—to move from truth to error. For instance, I was named publicly again this week by the deceiver who perverts the gospel through dishonest use of verses like I Corinthians 15:1-4 and others. His seductive letter admits his revised gospel was “a little bit of growing in grace and knowledge,” but was “exactly what Mr. Armstrong taught us to do.” (His emphasis.)
What follows will help you combat the thinking and tactics of such wolves who claw and eat their way to power in the name of doctrinal “growth.” It comes from Chapter Seven of my vital book “ANOINT YOUR EYES.” Understand that the references to clothing only make sense to those who read the whole book—who know what Christ meant by “anoint your eyes” to eliminate being “naked” (Rev. 3:17).
Remember, if you read the article, you are accountable for what you learn (James 4:17)!
